Thanksgiving Family Camp November 22-25, 2012
Our annual Thanksgiving Camp at Camp Stevens begins with hot spiced cider and appetizers Thursday afternoon followed by a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The camp staff provides a variety of activities for all ages throughout the weekend including walks and hikes around the camp woods and into the historic gold-mining town of Julian.
Other options include archery, games, arts and crafts, singing, campfires, folk-dancing, ropes course and climbing wall. Excursions are possible to nearby Cuyamaca and Anza-Borrego State Parks. There are plenty of opportunities for community worship and celebration, to try something new, to make new friends, and to just relax.
The weekend will begin on Thursday afternoon, November 22 (hors d'oeuvres and introductions at 4:30 pm, dinner at 6 pm) and end with brunch on Sunday, November 25. Participants help with setting and clearing tables at meals.
