Rock Climbing (Ages 12-17): July 8-13, 2012

How high can you go? Push yourself during this Rock Climbing adventure all around Southern California! Starting at Camp Stevens, where you'll experience the Ropes Course and 40-foot climbing wall, campers will get to try a mixture of beginning and moderate rock climbing at various locations around Southern California. This six-day adventure will teach youth ages 12-17 the basics (and more!) about rock climbing, climbing equipment and themselves - all while making friends and having fun.

Backpacking Basics (Ages 12-17): July 22-27, 2012

You're invited to create awesome memories in the High Sierras! On this trip for beginning and experienced backpackers, we'll spend five days in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. Experience low-impact camping, and learn the best ways to pack and carry gear, read a map and compass, use and maintain equipment, and cook in the out-of-doors - all while developing great friendships and having fun. Experience the wilderness through swimming in lakes, exploring streams, fishing, and sleeping under the stars. We will set up basecamp and take short day hikes on most days, moving camp only a few times during the week. Join us on an adventure!

Ten-Day Trek (Ages 13-18): July 29-August 7, 2012

Are you ready for a challenge? This backpacking trip for beginning and experienced hikers takes teens through some of the most beautiful and varied high country in California. Spend ten days exploring forests, meadows, lakes, and streams -- and creating amazing friendships and lifelong memories. The hikes will be aggressive, moving to new places each day, setting up camp and exploring the new area. There will be opportunities to climb peaks, take day hikes, swim and fish in the lakes, keep a journal, explore streams, cook meals, plan evening discussions, and share experiences.

Wilderness Adventure Trip Pricing:

Camp Stevens offers 3 pricing options. Price A (from $540, depending on trip) is the actual cost of providing a quality trip, while Prices B (from $490)  and C (from $440) are the partially- and fully-sponosored rates. Every camper at Camp Stevens receives the same high-quality wilderness trip experience, regardless of price paid. Additional financial assistance is available through camperships.
