Sequoia Family Camp
July 8-14, 2012

Join us for a week vacationing in beautiful Sequoia National Forest! We will use the resident facilities at Camp San Joaquin located between Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. The surrounding wilderness provides unlimited opportunity for exploration and discovery.

Program: Each day you may join in a variety of planned events, help in planning or initiating activities, or explore and play on your own. Then come "home" to the warm community atmosphere at camp for relaxation, sharing and worship.

Activities:
- hikes and nature walks
- car trips to nearby places of scenic and historical interest
- enjoying the beautiful wildflowers and groves of Giant Sequoias
- dancing, singing, games and arts and crafts

- campfires, community fellowship and religious celebration

- swimming in nearby Woodward Creek, or in the heated camp pool

Leadership: Sequoia Family Camp will be led by John Horton of Camp Stevens and the Rev. Greg Larkin. Cooks and support staff will be provided by Camp San Joaquin.

Camp San Joaquin is located at an elevation of 7100 feet, 65 miles east of Fresno in Sequoia National Forest. Facilities include a recreation hall with covered outdoor dining area, outdoor chapel, campfire area, heated swimming pool, central bathroom with showers. Families will be housed in tent cabins sleeping up to 7 persons each, or in dorms sleeping 7-10 persons each. Families will be housed together; families of 4 or fewer persons may need to share a cabin or dorm.

Registration begins at 2:30 pm on Sunday, July 8, with dinner at 5:30 pm. Camp ends after breakfast on Saturday, July 14. Transportation to and from Camp San Joaquin and while at camp is the responsibility of the participants. Cost: Adults over 18 - $395, ages 12-17 - $350, ages 5-11 - $225, ages 4 and under free. There are discounts available for families that have 5 or more family members.
