The newly completed Lax-Sadler Lodge has been completely redesigned to be much larger, more energy-efficient, and more accommodating. There are six four-person bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and shower. The new lodge is nestled in the woods, just past the volleyball court—a two story, split-level building with a comfortable meeting room. Construction began in the fall of 2009 and was completed September 1, 2010.

The new Wolterstorff Lodge rises from the ashes of the Bishop’s Lodge that was destroyed in the 2007 Angel Fire.
Completed in March 2009, the new lodge is dedicated in loving memory of the Rt. Rev. Robert Wolterstorff. Bishop Bob was the first bishop of the Diocese of San Diego, and he was a loving and faithful supporter of Camp Stevens.

New and Enlarged Summer Camp Bath House Landscaping will begin this spring, including a small courtyard with a grape arbor for shade, and a beautiful mosaic mural over the washbasins by designed by James Hubbell and constructed by campers and volunteers.
