Sessions
at Camp Stevens involve ninety campers in a unique program designed to
promote personal growth within a Christian community. Each camper belongs
to an Adventure Group of thirteen boys and girls guided by two counselors
and a program staff member. They may tackle a building project, climb
the challenge course or the climbing wall, hike a mountain, or cook dinner
over a campfire using food harvested from the organic garden.
The
Groups take an active part in planning their own activities like skits,
songs, craft projects, murals, costumes, hikes and more. Whatever the
activity, time is always taken to discuss the discoveries that were made
and to learn from the experience.
