Camp Stevens is Safe!
Updated 11-6-03
The Cedar Fire which started on Saturaday October 25 has been not only
a major news item in San Diego, but around the world. We are pleased to
inform everyone that Camp Stevens was fortunate enough to not be in the
path of the huge fire. The fire came within one mile of the camp,
very near the high school. On Wednesday, we were still without power and
had installed a generator on our pump to provide water. Additional generators
were being used to keep the freezer and walk-in working as well as to power
the office. Power was expected to be restored Friday but was returned Wednesday
afternnon. Please note that this page will be completed and updated as quickly
as we can. We thank all of you for your prayers and thoughts during
the past week.
